python - Does the Matplotlib pgf backend support transparency? -

i'm creating graphics usind pgf backend matplotlib. works integrating graphs generated in python in latex. however, transparency not seem supported, though believe should possible in pgf. using version 1.5.1 of matplotlib.

yes. .pgf backend support transparency. if *.png , *.pdf files come out transparent, *.pgf not may problem viewer, or tex packages.

for me package "transparent" enables transparent text on pictures, wasn't using, clashed pgf.
