azure - Sitecore 8.1 Lucene not updating - how to indentify if index has been fullly built? -


we using sitecore 8.1 lucene search provider, 1 cm , 2x cds. solution hosted in azure web apps.

we noticed when content author publishes or updates article, changes seen users/browsers , not others.

i suspect due index not being built on 1 of cds (as history engine not enabled). in past troubleshoot rdp azure web role vm or similar , analyse lunene index files data time.

above not possible web app can't rdp or ftp specific instances.

so..

  1. is there way in sitecore find out whether index has been 100% built n number of cds?

  2. is true history engine must turned on if have more 1 cds?

  3. if there n (where n > 1) number of cds, 1 of cd gets rebuilt instantly after publish end? have noticed , confuses me.

  4. any reason why history engine section might missing out of box?

  2. my understanding need have history engine "on" if have any cds.

  3. the combined instance (that has cm , cd on same instance) does not need history engine gets updated instantly.

css - Make div keyboard-scrollable in jQuery Mobile? -

ruby on rails - Seeing duplicate requests handled with Unicorn -

recently upgraded our ec2 instances c3.large in order boost more unicorn workers handle increased traffic our site. (6xworkers per machine - 2 ec2 instances). when did this, started seeing duplicate records being created! looks somehow, maybe 2 unicorn workers attempting process same request? in nginx logs see 1 [post] request particular rails controller - yet 2 records being created in database. i'm hitting kind of race condition issue - have no idea how debug this. doesn't happen time, when it's frustrating well. noticed 2 database records within 5 seconds of each other.
